The life & times of TWISTER

Off with the old & on with the new!

by Mark V. on Aug.10, 2008, under MINI

Last Thursday I sold my old wheels to a club member for his wifes MINI. I looked long and hard for a new set of wheels and decided on the Drag DR-8. I also added a new set of rubber all the way around. They are Yokohama S.Drive and have a very aggresive look to them. They make TWISTER look so much different that today I decided to take off the numbers and frame for them and add a small touch of silver to the shelby stripes and the Challenge side checkers.

Those thin lines add a lot to the car. Very nice.

I also like the standard side markers on the S. I went a different way and tried to black the chrome out, but your way is cleaner. Maybe I’ll rethink my mod.

Whoever puts your stripes on does a helluva job. My hats off to them.

Do you use any heat? Or just the slimy spray stuff like Rapid Tac?

I used to use a formula of soap and water but was told by a manufacturer at a sign trade show it’s bad for the adhesive so I stopped. Obviously it works for you though.

In looking at you website I noticed some stuff floating around under “Tag Cloud” and wondered what the heck that was all about? It’s almost miniscule on my screen.

When you TAG in a post that is where they show up. I need to TAG more so it fills up. Hold you mouse over one and you will see it come to the front and enlarge itself. Its a small plugin for WP. The more times I TAG the word MINI in a post, the larger the word will be
